What do I get with my Oriental kitten?

When you adopt an Oriental kitten from us, we provide a comprehensive kitten care package to ensure a smooth transition for both you and your new furry friend. The care package includes two sweaters to keep your kitten cozy, a variety of toys to stimulate their playful nature, and some delicious treats to reward their good behavior. We also provide you with a three-generation pedigree lineage for your kitten, showcasing their heritage and lineage. If you choose to register your Oriental kitten with TICA (The International Cat Association), we will provide you with all the necessary information and support to complete the registration process.

Additionally, we offer a three-year guarantee against congenital defects and HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), a common heart condition in cats. Our commitment to you and your Oriental kitten extends beyond the adoption process. We provide lifetime support, and we genuinely love receiving updates on our cats. Feel free to share pictures, videos, or any exciting milestones with us. We are always here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have along the way.

Do you offer stud services or sell cats for breeding purposes?

No, we do not offer stud services or sell cats for breeding purposes. Our cattery is closed, meaning we do not introduce outside cats for breeding, to ensure the health and well-being of our kittens.

What medical testing do I need to do on my Oriental kitten?

Vaccinations are crucial for the health of your Oriental kitten. However, it’s essential to find a veterinarian who is familiar with the specific needs of the Oriental breed, as they may have unique reactions to certain vaccines. We recommend a series of four FVRCP vaccinations and one rabies vaccination during the first year of your kitten’s life. After the initial vaccinations, annual FVRCP and rabies vaccinations are recommended for life.

Please note that we advise against vaccinating your Oriental kitten for FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), ringworm, or Giardia. Additionally, we do not offer any warranty for adverse reactions to these or any other future vaccinations. Before bringing your new Oriental kitten home, it is required that all current cats in your household be combo tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and Leukemia.

While we conduct regular health checks and selective breeding to minimize the risk, it’s strongly recommended to have an annual echocardiogram for your Oriental cat to identify any signs of HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), a known hereditary condition in the breed.

Do you have an outcrossing program?

Yes, we have a carefully designed outcrossing program that aims to enhance the genetic diversity of Oriental cats. Our program strictly follows the guidelines and approval of TICA (The International Cat Association) to ensure the preservation and betterment of the breed.

What do I do if my cat gets sick?

We provide a health guarantee for your Oriental kitten for the initial 48 hours after pick-up and until the age of three for life-threatening congenital defects, including HCM. If your cat shows any signs of illness, we urge you to contact us immediately. However, after the 48-hour health check, you, as the owner, are responsible for any illnesses or health conditions that may arise. Please note that we cannot be held accountable for future diagnoses of FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), FIV, or any other bacterial, viral, infectious diseases, or parasites that may be contracted outside our cattery.

How do I know you’re a legitimate breeder?

We understand the importance of ensuring you are adopting from a legitimate breeder, and we encourage you to conduct thorough research before making your decision. As a registered cattery with TICA (The International Cat Association), we are committed to upholding their standards of excellence. Our website is linked to our TICA registration, providing transparency and authenticity. We recommend caution when considering catteries that are not registered with TICA, do not conduct regular HCM scans, and refuse to engage in video calls or inspections. Scammers can be sophisticated, so be wary if the price seems unusually low or if the cattery requests payment via unconventional methods like Western Union. Authentic Oriental kittens should be produced in a reputable cattery with genetic testing, HCM scans, HCM gene testing, and TICA registration.

We strive to provide you with the highest quality Oriental kittens and ensure your adoption experience is enjoyable and trustworthy. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
